COP28 & SDR Update

05 Dec 2023
Webinar

COP28 commenced on 30th November 2023 and global leaders gathered to advance the agenda for tackling climate change, but what is the impact on the financial services and investment landscapes?

ADNOC's president, and host of this year's crucial climate summit, was reported by the BBC to be using the event to arrange oil deals, so what chance does COP28 have in delivering the outcomes we need?

With the FCA's new Sustainability Disclosure Requirements (SDR) and investment labels and Anti-Greenwashing Guidance released beforehand, this exclusive webinar, saw industry experts discuss what the SDR policy means against the backdrop of COP28.

This panel session, moderated by UKSIF, provided updates on the latest news from COP28, with commentary on how this may affect funds aligned to the original Paris Agreement.
One week on from the release of the SDR announcement, the panel pulled out the key dates, obligations and requirements.

The discussion focused on how the latest climate pledges and new regulations will drive the future of sustainable investment from financial advisers' and fund managers' perspectives.
