Thomas Hohne-Sparborth
Dr. Thomas Hohne-Sparborth is the Head of Sustainability Research at Lombard Odier, having joined the firm in 2019. He leads a research team focusing on understanding the nature, shape and pace of transitions across energy, land & ocean, and material systems, towards a Circular, Lean, Inclusive and Clean (CLIC® economy).
Dr. Hohne-Sparborth holds a Master of Arts degree from the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington, D.C. and doctoral degree at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Prior to joining Lombard Odier, he was Director of Economics & Analytics at the Roskill Consulting Group, assessing the impact of automotive electrification and circularity on demand for raw materials.
The research team that Dr. Hohne-Sparborth leads comprises systematic research (including geospatial analysis), research on sectoral roadmaps, and fundamental research on companies leading the transition. The team has led the development of proprietary metrics such as Lombard Odier’s proprietary Implied Temperature Rise and Climate Value Impact assessments, has supported the launch of flagship products including Lombard Odier’s Climate Transition and Natural Capital strategies.
