Ray is CEO of Energise Africa. He is an experienced social entrepreneur, having run a number of impact-oriented businesses and has also been recognised by Social Enterprise UK and the Social Entrepreneurs Index as a leader in the field.

Ray is a qualified lawyer and worked at a City law firm for eight years, advising on impact investments and renewable energy transactions. He has wide experience of the renewable energy sector and has also advised extensively on transactions in emerging markets. Ray has also served on the board of AltEnergis PLC, a renewable energy technology incubator and currently sits on the England Committee of the National Lottery Community Fund, Europe's largest grant-making body.
