Moritz has a background in Mechanical Engineering and Finance from TU Munich and HEC Paris. He started out on the venture side, working for an automotive startup, before working for BMW in the R&D team. Between his undergraduate degree and his masters he switched to the investor side and worked as an interim investment manager at the UnternehmerTUM, where he did early stage deep tech investing for the Klatten family office. Just before joining Earlybird he worked for Pelion (clean tech investment vehicle of Alexander Samwer). Moritz is part of Earlybird X, the early stage deep tech fund of Earlybird Venture Capital. They invest in AI & Novel Computing, Industrial Tech as well as CleanTech/ ClimateTech. Moritz splits his time between Berlin and London.
