Mike Clark is Founder Director of Ario Advisory, a responsible investment advisory firm. His work with pension funds, investment managers and other financial institutions, plus regulators and policymakers, focuses on climate change. He was one of the authors of the USS/Exeter narrative climate scenarios report No Time To Lose. He spent nearly four years as a NED at Brunel (LGPS) and is a Visiting Fellow at the University of Exeter. He was a Specialist Adviser to the House of Commons Environmental Audit Committee for their Green Finance inquiry, and continues to be involved with the work of Select Committees, including on LDI. Though a member of the team that built what became GFANZ, he has welcomed the disruption to it, NZAM, NZIA and other net zero alliances. It makes clear the difference between societal risk (which is contested politically) and financial risk where prices mean money is gained and lost.
