Gee Sinha

Founder & Director, ReSpace Projects

Having become homeless in 2013, Gee Sinha built ReSpace up from a squat in Leytonstone through London’s underground cultural and art scenes into a million pound not-for-profit - based on the foundation of sharing underused space and collaboration. Since described by Social Enterprise UK as ‘social enterprise heros’, in 2019 ReSpace was named Overall Winner at the Sustainable Cities Awards, also taking home the award for Innovative Spaces.

Gee founded ReSpace Projects to help create a communal infrastructure to reduce waste and rebuild communities, by giving free access to disused space and surplus resources. This led to ReSpace partnering with ReLondon on their route map to a circular economy. After creating ten community projects in nine years - with incredible results in terms of resources saved and communities enabled -  ReSpace has developed a membership alliance to support the growth of this efficient model.
