Natural capital has quickly risen in priority as people have recognised that it is a critical component of managing the climate crisis, both in terms of carbon emissions and biodiversity.  The UK is now one of the most nature-depleted countries on earth, largely due to unsustainable practices in agriculture, fishing and marine development.
